First Thoughts
First Thoughts Life can be so confusing! I am almost fifty and I still am confused daily. But I have to say, that almost daily I am also delighted. Something in a movie or book strikes me and I say "Ahhh....yes! " and I realize that others must be experiencing the same thing in order for their words to mirror my experience.God doesn't give us clear directions in life. Instead he sends messages in nature and through books and movies and most of all...other people. And when we are most confused, that is when we have to depend on Him to send us the messages. But, if you are like me...you try to figure it out on your own. Isn't that frustrating? I think I have tried every possible option and am sitting there in despair when suddenly it dawns on me....I don't have to figure it out!! He already did! And now I just have to trust Him. That is the hard part. How are you at trusting? I have a difficult time with it. But I know God has my best interests at heart. So, I must let go and trust. Pretty tough for someone who would never even think of bungee jumping or skydiving.Psalm 13:5-6 says "But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me. I want to hang on to that today. :)
